St Paul's Ladybirds have joined up with Ballybrack Ladybirds to form St Paul's/Ballybrack Ladybirds. This is due to lack of leaders available in both parishes. Currently we have 17 girls aged 6 to 9, one full time leader, Sarah Webb, two part time leaders, Emma and Nuala and also a Transition Year student, Bethan. Every week a different parent also helps out.

So far we have done a nature trail on Killiney Hill, had a visit by local artist and children's writer, Don Conroy and enjoyed a spooky Hallowe'en party. We also do a lot of art and craft, songs, games and skipping.
The girls are encouraged to make new friends from different schools, learn about nature and the world around them, and 'care and share'. In the Spring we hope to do lots more outdoor activities. For now, we'll be inside!
Future trips include one to the children's centre in Sandyford, Imaginosity, the aquarium in Bray and possibly the zoo.
Unfortunately we cannot take any more girls until Sept 2010 as we are full up! But we do need leaders and if anyone can spare one hour a week - Thurs at 4 to 5 - we would be very grateful. Transition Year students also very welcome.
