Lent 2014

On Ash Wednesday (March 5th) and on each Wednesday throughout Lent there will be a short service of Holy Communion at 7.15 am in St Paul’s, as well as the regular Wednesday communion service at 11 am.
Lenten Discussion group will meet on Tuesday nights this year beginning on Tuesday, March 11th, in the Committee Room of the Parish Centre (upstairs ) at 8 pm.  Each meeting lasts for about one hour and concludes with a cup of tea.  All are welcome.  Further details to follow.

Worship & Wedges

All are invited to “Worship and Wedges” next Sunday, February 23rd,  in the main hall of the Parish Centre at 5.30 pm. This is a short, informal act of worship with contemporary music for all ages and is followed by a meal of sausages and wedges.

Film night

There will be a screening of the classic romantic comedy, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, in the Meeting Room of the Parish Centre at 8pm on Thursday, February 13th. It will be introduced by Philip Molloy, presenter of “The Picture Show” and “Movies on the Right Hook” on Newstalk radio. Directed by Blake Edwards, the Oscar-winning film stars George Peppard and Audrey Hepburn (pictured above), in the story of a flighty New York socialite and her relationship with a young writer.  As places are limited, please book as soon as possible by emailing stpaulsdub@gmail.com. Coffee/tea will be served afterwards.
Admission is free but there will be an opportunity to contribute towards “The Dining Room” – a soup kitchen for homeless in the area, which is being set up by Christ Church, Dun Laoghaire.
