Off-beat comedy for Parish Film Night

The charming, off-beat comedy, Local Hero, written and directed by Bill Forsyth, will be shown at the next Parish Film Night on Thursday, November 30th. An American oil company sends a man to Scotland to buy up an entire village where they want to build a refinery. But things don’t go as expected. It stars Burt Lancaster, along with Peter Capaldi and Peter Riegert.
Philip Molloy of Newstalk’s The Picture Show will introduce the screening at 8pm in the Parish Centre. Admission free but small donations to defray costs welcome. Please let us know if you are coming by emailling stpaulsdub@gmail.com
