Choir to sing in St Patrick’s Cathedral

The St Paul’s choir will sing both the 11.15am and 3.15pm  services in St Patrick’s Cathedral this Sunday, July 3rd. Conducted by our director of music, Nathan Barrett, the choir was invited back after its first visit as a  “stand in” during the resident choir’s summer holidays last year (photographed below).The choir will be accompanied by Mathew Breen, now organist in St Patrick’s, Dalkey,  and some of the choir members there will be joining the St Paul’s choir for this occasion.
Meanwhile, the Summer Lunchtimes at St Paul’s series comes to a close this Thursday, June 30th with an organ recital by Matthew Breen. Coffee/tea from 1pm; music starts at 1.15pm. Admission free but retiring collection, if desired, in aid of the St Paul’s organ fund.

Talk on India in lunchtime series

Parishoner Professor Roger West of Trinity College Dublin will give a talk entitled “At Home in India” at the Summer Lunchtimes in St Paul’s series this Thursday, June 16th. It will be both a photographic and anecdotal portrait of how to feel comfortable in such a different country.
Coffee/tea served from 1pm; talk starts at 1.15pm. Admission free and retiring collection, if desired, to the St Paul’s Organ Fund.
