You are invited to bring your pet to church for a service of blessing and thanksgiving this Sunday, October 4th, at 10.30am. If you don’t have a real live one, a favourite toy animal will be welcome too. The speaker will be Mark Talbot accompanied by his guide dog Grogan, and there will be a retiring collection for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Bus to Abigail’s ordination
A bus will leave from outside St Paul’s next Sunday, September 27th at 2pm for the ordination to the priesthood of our intern deacon for 2014-15, the Rev Abigail Sines (below), in Christ Church Cathedral at 3.30pm. If you would like to book a seat, please contact the Rector on 2801616 or email garydowd@eircom.net as soon as possible. Cost €5 per person.
All Age Worship this Sunday
It will be a shorter, more informal morning service this Sunday, September 20th, at 10.30am, with all ages participating throughout. The music will be led by the music group and backed by the choir. (There will also be services of Holy Communion at 8.15am and 7pm.)
Meanwhile Junior Badminton (for those aged nine to 15) starts this Saturday, September 19th, at 4.30pm in the Parish Centre. There will be coaches from Badminton Ireland, catering for all levels of ability.
‘The Verdict’ for Parish Film Night
A new season of Parish Film Nights begins this Thursday, September 17th, at 8pm in the Parish Centre. Philip Molloy of Newstalk will introduce a showing of the courtroom drama The Verdict starring Paul Newman (below) and directed by Sidney Lumet. Sunday Club to begin September 13
Sunday Club begins this Sunday, September 13th. Parents are invited to bring their children to church for 10.30 am. Children will leave to go over to the Parish Centre after approx. 15 minutes. That time in church will include a children’s talk and a hymn suitable for young people. Sunday Club will meet on the second and fourth Sunday of each month during school term time.
