Classic musical for Film Night

Singin

Of course you know its iconic, titular song-and-dance routine, but there’s a lot more to the musical and romantic comedy Singing in the Rain. It will be shown at our next Parish Film Night, introduced by Philip Molloy of Newstalk, onThursday, February 23rd, at 8pm in the Parish Centre. Please sign up on the list at the back of the church or email stpaulsdub@gmail.com
Save the date.  There will also be a parish film night on Thursday, March 23rd –more information to follow.

Sunday Club this Sunday

The theme for our activities at Sunday Club this Sunday, during the 10.30am service is Living in peace and harmony. The New Testament lesson for the day is Matthew 5.21-37, in which Matthew shows how Jesus helps us to make peace with anyone we have hurt and to live the way that Jesus shows us. All children welcome.

Deadline for parish register update

The Select Vestry will revise the Register of Vestry members at its meeting this Thursday, February 2nd, as it is required to do annually under the Constitution of the Church of Ireland.  If you are not already registered, are over 18 years of age, and would like to become a registered vestry person you must obtain, complete and return the necessary form, available from either the churchwardens or the Rector.
If you are registered this entitles you to vote at the Easter General Vestry (AGM), which this year is after the 10.30am service on Sunday, April 23rd,  and to become eligible for election to the Select Vestry.

‘Manhattan’ for Parish Film Night

Considered one of Woody Allen’s finest films, “Manhattan” is a wry portrait of modern relationships played out against a background of urban alientation. It stars Allen, Diane Keaton, Mariel Hemingway and Meryl Streep. The showing in the Parish Centre this Thursday, at 8pm, will be introduced by Philip Molloy of Newstalk’s “The Picture Show”.
Admission is free (although small donations welcome on the night) but make sure there is a seat for you by emailling stpaulsdub@gmail.com
