Catch the last shows of the pantomime

Time is running out for the chance to book and see the St Paul’s Theatre Group production of Sinbad the Sailor and the Jewel of Miracles in the Parish Centre. The shows left are this Thursday, 8pm; Friday, 8pm; and Saturday, 3pm and 8pm. Adults €15.  Child/OAP €10 Group 8+ €10 each All tickets for the Sat 8pm show are €15. Book online at: eventbrite.ie/d/ireland–dublin/sinbad/

Pantomime to open this Saturday

St Paul’s Theatre Group is in final rehearsals for its production of  Sinbad the Sailor and the Jewel of Miracles, which opens this Saturday, January 9th, with a 3pm show.  The rest of the showtimes are as follows: Sunday, January 10th, 3pm; Thursday, January 14th, 8pm; Friday, January 15th, 8pm; Saturday, January 16th, 3pm & 8pm.

Come, join the celebration

The First Eucharist of Christmas service starts at 11.30pm on Christmas Eve. That is followed on Christmas Day by an 8.15am service of Holy Communion and a 10.30am Family Service, when you will have to come early to be sure of a seat! There is a short said service of Holy Communion immediately after the family service, at approx 11.45am.
NB: on Wednesday, December 23rd, there is an 11am service of Holy Communion as usual.

Nine Lessons and Carols this Sunday

The traditional service of Nine Lessons and Carols by candlelight at 7pm this Sunday is always a very special part of the lead-up to Christmas at St Paul’s. It will be followed by mince pies and mulled wine in the Parish Centre.
Please note there will be NO 10.30am service this Sunday but there will be the 8.15am Holy Communion as usual.

A festive floral tribute to loved ones

St Paul’s will be decorated with poinsettias in memory of loved ones again this Christmas. If you wish to be involved, please put a donation of €5 per person in an envelope, clearly marked with the loved one’s name, to the Churchwardens, the Rector or Harriet Greenlee (087 224 7195) before December 17th. A list of names will be included in the service sheet on Christmas Day.

Countdown to Christmas begins

There will be All Age Worship at 10.30am  in the Parish Centre this Sunday, November 29th, for the first Sunday in Advent.  The following week, the popular, traditional Christingle Service will be held in the Parish Centre on Sunday, December 6th at 6pm, followed by a light supper of sausages and potato wedges.

Film Night this Thursday, Nov 19th

Philip Molloy of Newstalk will introduce a showing of the mystery drama Mystic River, directed by Clint Eastwood, in the Parish Centre this Thursday, November 19th at 8pm.  Its stellar cast includes Sean Penn(below), Tim Robbins, Kevin Bacon and Laura Linney. All welcome but seats must be booked by emailling stpaulsdub@gmail.com
