It’s a new-look parish fair this Saturday, May 23rd, in the St Paul’s Parish Centre, church grounds and church, from 10.30am to 2.30pm (close to Glenageary Dart station). Along with the traditional garden, deli, bottles, white elephant and clothes etc stalls there will be a new Food Street with lots of home-baked goodies, children’s entertainment and live music. Admission adult €2, children €1 and family €5.
Donations of items to sell can be made at the Parish Centre this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 7pm-9pm.

New parish council for 2015/16
The new Select Vestry appointed at the annual Easter General Vestry on Sunday May 10th is as follows:

Choral concert in St Paul’s
This Saturday, May 9th, there is a concert in St Paul’s featuring the Parish Choir singing a range of sacred music, including Rutter and Faure, along with organists Matthew Breen and Nathan Barrett playing a selection of organ music. Starts at 7.30pm. Admission free.
The following weekend the choir has been invited to sing a concert in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Raphoe, Co Donegal on Saturday, May 16th, and to sing at the cathedral’s Choral Eucharist the following morning.

Rectors to swap pulpits
The Rev Niall Sloane, Rector of Holy Trinity Killiney, will be the preacher and celebrant at the 10.30am Parish Communion this Sunday, April 26th, in the first in a series of occasional “pulpit” swaps among local Church of Ireland parishes. (Please note there will also be Sunday Club during this service.) Meanwhile, the Rector of St Paul’s will be in Holy Trinity Killiney.
Parish school choir to sing this Sunday
The choir from Glenageary Killiney National School, led by musical director Frank Hughes, will sing at the 10.30am All-age Worship this Sunday, April 19th.
Looking ahead …
In the wake of Easter, April and May are among the busiest months in the parish. Here are some key dates, in chronological order – get the diary out:
Sunday, April 19th: The choir of Glenageary Killiney National School will sing at the 10.30am All-Age Worship service.
Thursday April 23rd: Sit back and have a good laugh at the Film Night showing of What’s Up Doc?, starring Ryan O’Neal and Barbra Streisand, presented by Philip Molloy of Newstalk, 8pm in the Meeting Room of the Parish Centre. Booking: stpaulsdub@gmail.com. No charge but small donations welcome.
Sunday, May 3rd: Worship & Wedges in the Parish Centre, 6pm. A creative but informal form of worship for all ages, followed by light supper.
Thursday May 7th: The final Parish Whist of the season will take place in the Meeting Room of the Parish Centre at 8 pm. All are welcome.
Friday May 8th: Alzheimer’s Tea Day, Parish Centre, 10am-12.30pm. Donations of home baking and raffle prizes would be most welcome. Contact Diane 087 127 0342 or Nola 087 688 9845.
