St Paul’s choir was the first in the diocese to take part in a new scheme at Christ Church Cathedral whereby parish groups were invited to stand in for the resident singers during the summer holidays.
This is what the writer of the Christ Church Cathedral notes in this month’s edition of the diocesan magazine,The Church Review, reports:
“On Sunday 6th July the choir of St Paul’s Church, Glenageary, came to sing at the Cathedral for the Sunday Eucharist. This delightful choir under the direction of Derek Verso gave of their best for the service. Their singing was superb and the parish should be proud of having such a good choir.”
The choir needs new members, so if you, or anybody you know, is interested in finding out more, do contact the music director, Derek Verso on versod@indigo.ie. He is currently on holidays but choir practices will resume on Wednesday evenings in September.
