In the penultimate part of the Rector’s Lenten series of Midweek Messages, entitled “Facing the Future”, he reflects on the “untidy emotions” that surround the one certainty in all our lives: death. In “Worrying about Religion”, the fourth of the Rector’s “Facing the Future” series  for Lent, he reflects on the healthy and unhealthy nature of religion in our world. As the receptacle for our faith, religion is vulnerable to human folly. However, observing the drift away from the church in our “must-fit-me-precisely culture”, he reminds us of the core Christian message about “the triumph of love in every facet of life”. It can be watched here

A 11am service of Holy Communion with Christmas music will be held in the church this Wednesday, December 23rd, which will be the last “in-church” worship until the following Sunday. With deep regret, a decision has been taken to keep the church building closed on Christmas Day and a Family Service will be livestreamed instead. See top right of this page for link.

Our organist and choir director Caroline Barnes has collaborated with her three, equally talented sisters to offer a piece of music for 12 days of pre-Christmas, running from last Sunday to Christmas Eve. You will find them on the St Pauls Glenageary YouTube channel here
